we just wrapped up an incredible three days of rock climbing in southern Arizona – the March 2010 Cochise Rock Camp was an outstanding success – climbing, challenge, community, and a damn good time!
the quick and dirty of it? 6 people arrived on day one with limited climbing experience and by day 3 they were an integral part of a climbing team ascending a 750 foot wall and going far beyond their previous ideas of what was possible and embracing the challenge of the day. it was an amazing experience to work with this group and see the shift in perspective and their embrace of uncertainty with style and grace!
curious what this trip is all about? here is the perspective of a guest from this past week:
“I set foot in Cochise Stronghold with high expectations for adventure and zero rock climbing experience. It was quickly revealed to me, however, that my level of expectations were based in a world without an Inner Passage experience. I could never have foreseen the intensity of adventure and the gravity of companionship that I experience in Cochise those three days. Matt and his team went above and beyond with their sincere hospitality and dedicated leadership. As my Dad put it, this was a “bucket list” adventure and I will truly never forget it.” – Aaron B., Bakersfield, CA
a shout out to Evolv climbing shoes for supporting our guests. the Demorto was the shoe of choice for our group – providing comfort, precision, and an excellent fit for our multi-pitch crack and face climbs.
